Previously, I prided myself on my ability to multi-task, context switch and deal with many things at once.
Nowadays, I strive to have fewer commitments in order to focus more on each one. There was advantages to doing many things, such as cultivating a breadth of experience.
But in order to become really good at one thing, I now believe focus is needed. I also believe this will also lead to a more fulfilling and rewarding existence.
For example, I have rekindled with an old attraction: tinkering with technology. This allowed me to start this blog, and a few others. I’ve increased serendipity – one blog post led to an amazingly interesting email correspondence and a new friendship.
